Self-Portrait with Make-Up and Hat

Here is a new self-portrait I just created. I put the make-up on in front of the mirror, which took a while to do. Then I used my iPhone, facing myself, and I turned myself around to see what backgrounds would look like. The glowing sunlight coming from my window became my background choice. I snapped the picture of myself with that background. I then used PicsArt app and manipulated the image with effects that enhanced the quality and beauty to the work. It was a lot of fun but a lot of work.

Series of Self-Portrait with iPhone

For a while, I have been doing self-portraits, just by using an iPhone. I have been going beyond just regular photos by manipulating them, using PicsArt app. Influenced by Cindy Scherman, I portray myself with different poses, characters, and styles. It has been fun doing the digital photo manipulations in creative ways. I will continue to work on the self-portrait projects and eventually have them framed and exhibited in a gallery or somewhere down the road.

Enjoy those amazing photos I created. Click on those pictures to see them bigger.

Three SciFi Artwork

I created these 3 SciFi artwork in glass frames a few years ago, using PhotoShop and Illustrator software. They were exhibited in a gallery with a grant I received back then. Do have more saved in external hard-drive.

First one is a big bee-like creature flying. The second one is an android with a virtual reality goggle seeing people in infrared. The third one is a genetically-modified person with high-tech implants and other wearable devices.

My "Shakespeare's Immortality" poem, translated into ASL, was presented with Dangerous Signs at Gallaudet University on October 22nd, 2016 in their Andrew Foster Auditorium. I and the cast members performed this work interactively on stage in creative ways. This performance was part of Gallaudet's Visual Shakespeare Festival.

Cat with A "Cat" Sign Language Greeting Card

I drew this cat out of my head on a sketching book with a pen. I then used color pencils to create those Cubist-alike shapes on the cat's face and the two hands. I then put a quote inside where you would read it when you open the card. Saw a framed picture of a cat with the "Cat" sign language in a gallery one day and realized that I could do that for a card, therefore, I came up with this.

If interested in getting this greeting card, I can print it out. $2.00 for one card with one envelope or $24.00 with 12 cards with 12 envelopes.
